Personal Shopper

The Personal Shopper Volunteer assists the WHW Program Manager in providing sensitive, one-on-one assistance to clients while outfitting them with professional clothing and accessories. The major responsibilities include assisting clients in selecting clothing that is appropriate for the client in terms of size and fit and ensuring that each client’s intake form is accurately completed.

Apparel Maintenance Assistant

The Apparel Maintenance Assistant supports the WHW Program Manager to ensure that the professional apparel center is stocked with appropriate items and the donation facility is neatly organized. The major responsibilities include greeting donors, receiving donations, offering tours of facility, sorting, tagging and sizing clothing.

Office Support

The General Office Support Volunteer assists the WHW Director of Operations with clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of business processes.   The major responsibilities include answering telephones, making copies, faxing, filing and greeting clients.  Very detail-oriented data entry experienced people especially needed. 

Driver for Clothing Pick-Ups

Drivers are needed to assist the WHW Director of Community Outreach to ensure on- time scheduled clothing pick-ups from various locations throughout Orange County.

Friends of Women Helping Women Committee

This group likes to party, party, party!  The "Friends of WHW,” are energetic, creative and work with staff on events and other "friend-raising activities."  All talents and skills are needed.  This group meets once a month from noon til 1:30 p.m.  – more frequently in the months just prior to an event.

PR/Marketing Committee

WHW needs individuals to serve on the PR/Marketing Committee to assist in the  development of marketing materials, as well as support in exploring avenues to gain increased awareness of the services provided to Orange County low-income women.  Committee meetings are monthly and arranged at the convenience of members

Board of Directors

Would you like to make a personal commitment at a more significant level?  As a board member there is both a time investment and a financial obligation to serve as a board member. Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
